about

Hello, my name is Isaac Webb. I want to get into the IT/Cyber Security Field and this is my documented journey through this process.

Some background… I’ve always been fascinated by computers. As time went on I became the “tech guy” always updated on trends in the space and almost always had an opinion on new software and hardware. From doing odd jobs, helping the IT personnel from my job, and general curiosity my knowledge grew. My first step in taking this seriously was studying for my CompTIA Security+ certificate. I believed enough in my learned knowledge that I could skip the CompTIA A+ and Network+. Eventually I plan to do these I just wanted to challenge myself to see if I could do it. The most challenging part of the exam was the wording of the question and selection of answers. Even with the amount of rereading I feel I missed a few due to that. With the selection of answers the questions would ask for the ‘BEST’ solution to a protocol, software, or even hardware to be used. These answers would be so close it was hard to pick the BEST one.
